Undefeated welterweight prospect Henry Crawford (16-0-1, 8 KOs) has found his next bout, against Patrick Thompson (11-9-1, 4 KOs), in boxing limbo. Keith Idec reports in the Herald News that Crawford has been unable to place his fight on the Warriors Boxing card on Friday in Atlantic City.
The bout was originally scheduled for the Sept. 8 undercard to Fernando Vargas-Ricardo Mayorga in Los Angeles, but the show was scrapped when Vargas pulled out after his bloodwork revealed a serious case of anemia.
Main Events, promoters of Crawford, tried to place his fight on the Friday night card in AC, but were unable to pull it off as the show was already loaded with fights without any open positions.
