Jorge Sebastian Heiland (24-4-2, 12KOs) will return to action this Saturday night against world title challenger Matthew Macklin (31-5, 20KOs) for the WBC International middleweight title in the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Shortly before traveling to Europe, the young Argentine prospect spoke to us and said:
"I had a good training camp for this fight and I expect this weekend to get another victory. Believe me I will win this fight by knockout, I’m very trusted in my skills and I think that after two or three more fights - we'll be ready to challenge Gennady Golovkin for the world title. GGG is a great champion,” Heiland said.
Luis Alegre, Heiland's coach, said:
"GGG is a tremendous puncher; Heiland has had one year of training with us and is slowly coming up to a better level. I think he is not ready yet to face Golovkin right now, he needs better opponents but one year from now and after he defeating Macklin we can challenge GGG."
"Matthew Macklin faced Sergio Martinez and Gennady Golovkin, he has plenty of experience but we are confident that Jorge Heiland can get a victory by knockout on Saturday in Ireland. This fight will not reach the end."
