Joshua Landers, coming off a first-round knockout victory in his pro debut in April, has decided to sign a promotional contract with Gary Shaw Productions, according to the heavyweight’s manager, Steven Feder

“I have the contract right here sent to me by [GSP matchmaker] John Beninati,” Feder said.

Landers, originally from the South Bronx in New York City, honed his craft as an amateur before Feder discovered him and brought him back west to train at Hollywood’s Wild Card Gym.

“I found him at Gleason’s Gym,” Feder recalled. “He’s a straight-shooting kid with an extensive amateur background, and he’ll fit right in here.”

Landers needed all of 2:57 to blitz Larry Ward in Sacramento to start his career 1-0 (1 KO)
