Former British heavyweight champion Julius Francis (23-24, 12KOs), who lost his last 14 fights, is making his MMA debut on Sept. 22 for Cage Rage at the Wembley Arena. Some of the fighters to beat him have been Mike Tyson, Oleg Maskaev and Matt Skelton.
24dash reports that Francis will be facing Gary "Smiler" Turner in his MMA debut. Francis says the move to MMA will be no problem because he was a good kickboxer before he became a boxer.
"I know what I am doing," said Julius. "I am working day and night to master the disciplines - and I am in great shape. Cage fighting is the future - it's skillful, tough and incredibly exciting. I am delighted that Cage Rage has signed me up for my Mixed Martial Arts debut."
