Promoter Eddie Hearn, although tempted, is not in favor of seeing a ring return for former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.

In the last few weeks, the 53-year-old Tyson has been teasing the idea of a comeback - at least on an exhibition level.

Tyson posted several short videos to social media, to showcase his power and speed.

The youngest man in history to become heavyweight champion has been retired since 2005, when he suffered an embarrassing stoppage loss to journeyman Kevin McBride.

Since expressing his desire to fight again, career rival Evander Holyfield has answered the call and wants to face him in a trilogy bout.

Hearn recently revealed that he was approached regarding the possibility of being involved with a Tyson ring return. The British would rather step away from that idea, sensing there would be a tremendous amount of backlash to everyone participating in such a venture.

"We all know my head can be turned for a few quid! You saw my KSI vs Logan Paul fight which I got stick for, but it was a roaring success and I really enjoyed it. It taught me a lot. Imagine if I said: 'Mike Tyson is returning to the ring and I will promote him!' The stick I'd get would be unbelievable. It's not something I'm looking to do," Hearn told Sky Sports.

"I expect him to come back in some sort of exhibition, or something like that. Is that good or enjoyable? I suppose it's intriguing. Tyson looked fantastic on the pads but he's 53. Look at his last fight against Kevin McBride. He won't be able to compete at [a high level]. It's good to see him training. He's in great shape. If it keeps him happy then why not keep training? I wouldn't like to see him fight in the ring professionally."
