Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, says his boxer has several potential options for the fall - if there is no mega-bout unification with WBC champion Tyson Fury.

Joshua is scheduled to make a mandatory defense against Kubrat Pulev on June 20th in London.

Should Joshua win, then the number one target would be Fury - should he win a July trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder.

But should no deal come together with Fury, then Hearn will begin working on some alternate opponents.

Oleksandr Usyk is the WBO's mandatory challenger to one of Joshua's titles.

Joshua could face the winner of Usyk's upcoming fight with Derek Chisora. If Chirora pulls off the upset, in theory he could become the new mandatory.

And other option is a rematch with Dillian Whyte, who faces former champion Alexander Povetkin in May.

"Usyk has got to beat (Derek) Chisora. But if we don’t fight Fury or Wilder, if he wins, we will fight Usyk or Derek Chisora," Hearn told IFL TV "Or Dillian Whyte. It’s a cast iron certainty at some point for that to happen. Dillian is waiting for his mandatory [at the WBC title] in February 2021."

Hearn cautions that if Joshua does fight Fury at the end of the year, the winner would have to face Whyte - as the WBC has issued an order that his mandatory shot must be met by February of next year.

"If Fury fights AJ in December, the winner of that fight would have to sign to fight Dillian," Hearn said. "The WBC would say the winner has to fight Dillian Whyte, if he beats Povetkin."
