Ohara Davies is set to be moved quickly after his latest outing.
The Hackney man, who relinquished the English title on Monday, could be set for a potential world title eliminator in his next fight.
Davies, now 13-0 (11 KOs), stopped the vastly overmatched Chaquib Fadli inside two rounds at the Jahnsportforum in Neubrandenburg, Germany.
The fight took place as part of the undercard to Nathan Cleverly’s WBA ‘regular’ light heavyweight title challenge against Juergen Braehmer, which was aired live on Sky Sports.
‘Two Tanks’, according to his promoter Eddie Hearn, will return in “early December” and Andrea Scarpa, the WBC Silver champion at super-lightweight, was mentioned as a potential foe.
Scarpa stopped John Wayne Hibbert inside six rounds in April, live on Sky Sports Box Office, as part of the undercard to Anthony Joshua’s IBF heavyweight title victory over Charles Martin at London’s O2 Arena.
Boxing Scene understands that London will be the location for Davies-Scarpa, among other fights, if it is made.
Matchroom boss Hearn has previously indicated his desire to do a show in the English capital at the back end of the year, though an exact venue is yet to be revealed.
Further details are expected in due course.
