Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport sees Amir Khan winning easily over Devon Alexander, when the two former champions collide on December 13th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

The winner of the fight is a likely frontrunner to face WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May of next year.

While Hearn sees Khan winning handedly, he also wonders if the British star is able to get himself motivated enough for the fight.

"It's a dangerous fight for Amir because it's a nothing fight. It's one of those 'can you really get yourself up for Devon Alexander' when you desperately want the Mayweather fight and everyone desperately wants you to fight Kell Brook," Hearn told BoxingScene.com.

"I think Amir wins quite comfortably. Don't forget that Shawn Porter scored Devon Alexander and Kell Brook scored Shawn Porter. I don't think the Devon Alexander fight is going to do a lot for Amir. But if it does happen, hopefully he comes through. If he doesn't get Mayweather, hopefully we can make that fight with Kell Brook "
