Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport has his hands full with trying to broker a deal for a super middleweight rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves.
Although both were under Hearn's stable, the two boxers never liked each other. The met last November, where Groves dropped Froch hard in the first round and punished the champion for most of the contest. Froch rallied in the ninth round to get Groves in trouble, with a very controversial ending as the referee jumped in way too soon to call the fight.
Groves petitioned the IBF for a rematch, and they granted his request. Yet the verbal battle continues with Groves not being satisfied with the financial terms laid out by the IBF.
"George has a number which he believes is his value to the fight and he does have a lot of value. He has talked it up very well, he will sell a lot of PPV buyers, but Froch is in his 11th or 12th world title fight. Carl feels he should have the lion's share which is true," Hearn told the Nottingham Post.
"It's very difficult because you are dealing with two stubborn individuals, two great fighters, two egos, two people who cannot stand each other, two people direct messaging each other on Twitter saying they are going to knock each other out. It is a humdinger of a fight."
