One of the sidelights of HBO's television coverage of the WBC middleweight title fight between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Andy Lee was a poll conducted where fight fans voted on who they thought won the WBO welterweight title fight between Manny Pacquiao and undefeated Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley, which took place last Saturday in Las Vegas.
The poll was conducted even as HBO Sports replayed the Pacquiao-Bradley fight earlier in the evening.
Among those who watched the fight a huge 91 percent believed that Pacquiao won while only 7 percent believed that Bradley won and 2 percent believed the fight was a draw.
The poll results reflect a world-wide consensus on the results of the fight which spawned international condemnation of the judges, CJ Ross, Duane Ford and Jerry Roth and demands for a sweeping change in how the Nevada State Athletic Commission chooses its ring officials.
