It appears that Joan Guzman's (27-0, 17 KOs) lightweight debut has been put on hold. Guzman suffered a hand injury during training and pulled out of his May 26 bout against Australian fighter Michael Katsidis (22-0, 20 KOs) at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The undercard featured former champion Oscar Larios (59-5-1, 37 KOs) taking on unbeaten prospect Jorge Linares (23-0, 14 KOs).

HBO was set to televise the two fights as part of it's "Boxing After Dark" series, but has now decided to scrap the show after Guzman pulled out. The network plans to to work with Golden Boy Promotions to reschedule the card for the summer.
