HBO has announced that it will air the Nov. 15 bout between heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev live at 4:45 p.m. Eastern Time. The bout is taking place in Hamburg, Germany.
This is Klitschko’s 19th appearance on HBO, but it is only the third time that Klitschko has been on the network in more than three years. HBO aired Klitschko’s wins over David Haye in July 2011 and Alexander Povetkin in October 2013.
“The heavyweight championship of the world is always going to be a vital commodity within the sport,” said Peter Nelson, vice president of programming for HBO Sports. “Wladimir is a preeminent ambassador to the sport and a great champion. We’ve looked to align our brands together and we’re thrilled to have him on our network.”
