WBC/WBA cruiserweight champ David Haye (20-1, 19KOs) wants to duplicate a performance by Lennox Lewis when he takes on WBO cruiserweight titleholder Enzo Maccarinelli (28-1, 21KOs) on March 8. Haye wants to repeat Lewis' two-round destruction of Michael Grant in 2000.

"I see the fight going in a similar way to when Lennox Lewis stopped Michael Grant in two rounds," Haye told the South London Press. "Grant was bigger then Lennox - like Maccarinelli is taller than me - but didn’t have the pedigree or amateur experience of Lewis - he wasn’t match tough."

Haye is not the least bit impressed with his UK rival. He feels that Macca is a manufactured fighter by promoter Frank Warren, with a below average record.

"Maccarinelli is a manufactured fighter. He has fought some good names, like Wayne Braithwaite and Marcelo Dominguez, but if you look a little deeper they were on their way out and called up at short notice. The guys I’ve fought have always had four or five weeks notice so I’ve beaten them when they were 100 per cent in shape."
