At Arena Nürnberger Versicherung in Nuremberg, Germany, cruiserweight Francisco Palacios (19-0, 12 KOs) stopped DeLeon Tinsley (9-5-1, 5 KOs) in round one.
Another cruiserweight, contender Alexander Frenkel (21-0, 17 KOs) stopped former IBF cruiserweight champion Kelvin Davis (24-11-3, 17 KOs) in round one. Frenkel impressed many at ringside with his power punching display. He was unloading heavy with power punch combinations and uppercuts. The ref jumped in to stop the action.
Heavyweight contender Robert Helenius (10-0, 6 KOs) battered Taras Bidenko (26-4, 12 KOs) and stopped him in three rounds. He cut Bidenko very bad above the eye with a right hand. The doctor stopped the fight at the end of the third. Helenius is on the rise and should be receiving a big push in 2010 if he can beat former champion Lamon Brewster in December.
