Former two-weight world champion David Haye has promised to punish world-ranked Mark De Mori on Saturday January 16, 2016, at The O2 in London.
Haye, now under the tutelage of new trainer Shane McGuigan, takes part in his first bout since knocking out Dereck Chisora at Upton Park three and a half years ago
De Mori is a banger with a record of 31 wins (26 KOs) with only 1 defeat, and undefeated since September 2004.
Tensions are now running high after De Mori taped a video taking shots at the Hayemaker and the British fans.
"To all the Brits out there – you suck at rugby, you suck at cricket and on January 16 I'm going to prove you can't box either. David Haye – I'm going to knock you out," De Mori said.
England were knocked out of the Rugby World Cup by Australia who went on to reach the final where they lost to their great rivals New Zealand.
But then Haye returned fire with his own video, promising to punish the Aussie fighter.
"I heard you said that England suck at rugby, cricket and football, well believe me you play all those sports. Boxing, you don’t play, you fight. The only chance you have on winning this fight is if you have the whole of the rugby team in the ring with you. You are getting knocked out, trust me," Haye said.
