A few weeks back, heavyweight Lennox Lewis expressed his fears for countryman David Haye. On November 7, Haye challenges WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev. Lewis still sees the fight as a very tough road for Haye. He says Haye is giving up way too much to the 7'2, 320-pound giant. He almost has the fight set in his mind as a physical mismatch, with Haye only receiving an advantage in the speed department.

"I don't like to see heavyweights giving away too much and David is giving away everything against Valuev," said Lewis to The Mirror. "David is fast and brave, but he will be nearly a foot shorter and about 100 pounds lighter and that is a massive amount. There are ways to beat the big men of the sport and Evander Holyfield came close last year against Valuev. I told Evander that I thought that he won on the night, but it is hard to win in Germany."

Haye understands the fears of Lewis. He says the fight will be tough and he will need to to execute the perfect plan to win. Haye knows Valuev will test his limits as a fighter.

"I know exactly where Lennox is coming from and I just have to make sure that I get it right on the night," Haye said to The Guardian. I'm going to have to fight better than I've fought before. I'm going to have to take a shot better than I've ever done before. I'm going to have to hit harder. My reflexes have got to be faster. I've got to be able to cover more distance, be quicker on my feet than I've ever been."
