Former two division world champion David Haye (26-2, 24KOs) has no interest in facing Tyson Fury (22-0, 16KOs) - unless Fury is capable of beating WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko for the titles. Fury faces Dereck Chisora in a rematch on July 26th for the British and EBU belts.
Haye has been inactive since July of 2012, when he knocked out Chisora in five. In 2013, he was actually scheduled to face Fury on two separate dates. Both of them were canceled after Haye withdrew with injuries. The first time he suffered a cut in sparring and the second time he underwent surgery to correct a problem with his shoulder.
"No, definitely not [interested in Fury]. That fight was made last year just as a marking time fight, a way to keep the fans happy and for me to stay busy. But that fight didn’t happen twice in a row. He’s now fighting Chisora for the mandatory spot for Wladimir’s title," Haye told Sport 360.
“So if he wins or loses that he’s going in a different direction than what I’m going in so I wish him luck. I’m not sure how he’ll get on with Chisora though, I think that’s an interesting fight. But unless Tyson Fury was to actually win the world title from Wladimir then I have no interest in fighting him to be honest.”
