London - British boxer David Haye has threatened to do a 'Rocky' on Ukrainian rival Wladimir Klitschko during their world title unification clash in Hamburg, Germany, next month.

The Sun quoted Hayes as saying: "I'll be making mincemeat of Klitschko."

The fired-up Bermondsey banger has been pummelling sides of beef like actor Sly Stallone did in the movie.

He will attempt to unify the division when he faces the 6ft 7in WBO and IBF king Klitschko in Hamburg on July 2.

Haye added: "Since I was a kid I've always been a fan of the Rocky movies and spent a lot of time - probably too much time - watching them all!

"I love the Rocky storyline of the underdog going in and beating up the big Russian Ivan Drago.

"It's a cliche, I know, but the sight of Rocky Balboa training by running up those steps in Philadelphia with his little dog and punching meat in the ice box really did act as one of my inspirations to start boxing."
