In the biggest British heavyweight fight in several years, Tyson Fury (22-0, 16KOs) will face Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13KOs) in a rematch on November 29th at the ExCel Arena in London. They first met in 2011, with a 14-0 Fury winning a wide twelve round unanimous decision. The rematch will have the EBU and British world titles at stake, and the winner will move in position for a crack at the WBO world title - which is presently held by division ruler Wladimir Klitschko.
Former two division world champion David Haye was the last man to beat Chisora, in 2012. And Haye was the only man to knock Chisora out, in five rounds.
On two occasions, Haye was scheduled to face Fury and both times the Hayemaker withdrew with injury.
Now with his sights fully set on a ring return, Haye broke down the upcoming rematch between his countrymen.
"With Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora, I would have to say Tyson Fury by stoppage or Dereck Chisora by decision. The reason I say that is - up until the point when Chisora fought me, he hadn't shown any problems with the chin area. He had a granite chin and couldn't be knocked out. Vitali Klitschko hit him with some great shots and he didn't go down," Haye told BoxingScene.com.
"I've noticed in boxing that when a fighter gets hit hard on the chin and they go down, they continue to keep going down [in other fights]. If that is the case [here], then I think Tyson Fury may have a chance to stop him - if he jumps on him early. If it goes to a decision, I think Chisora's worth ethic and his punch output, and his physical strength....I think that can wear out Tyson Fury."
