David Haye's trainer Adam Booth was asked at Monday's press conference whether he was happy with the refereeing choice for the forthcoming WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight title battle between his fighter and Wladimir Klitschko and would only clarify that there was an 'outstanding situation' involving referee Genaro Rodriguez, which may suggest that a late change could be on the cards.

Rodridguez from the USA has refereed three of Wladimir's world title victories along with his second round shock KO defeat to Corrie Sanders in 2003 and there had been suggestions that both Haye and Booth were unhappy about the official being appointed to referee such a huge fight. Haye, 30, seemed unphased by any talk and is just hoping that a fair fight will ensue when the two heavyweight champions collide on Saturday night in Hamburg.

"You need a fair referee, I'm not asking for a strong one, I just want one who is fair, who knows the rules of boxing and will implement them," explained Haye.

"If he does three fouls, take a point away. I'm not asking for anyone special, I just want judges to be fair.

"Whether I'll get that is a different story altogether," added the WBA champion.
