Matthew Hatton, younger brother of Ricky, is set to contest the EBU welterweight title against the experienced Gianluca Branco on March the 26th. The two men will contest the vacant title in Dagenham, Essex as part of the undercard of Anthony Small's British title defence against Sam Webb.
Hatton, who confirmed the fight on his Facebook page, drew in an IBO title tilt to Lovemore N'Dou late last year and this could be his last chance to net a major title. The Ukraine’s Yuri Nuzhnenko has stepped to one side in order to allow this contest to take place and will be accommodated by the winner, unless, of course, another draw comes in.
