Dennis Hobson, promoter of undefeated WBA welterweight champion Ricky Hatton, tells the BBC Sport that Hatton is set to fight Germany's Oktay Urkal, the mandatory challenger to his title, next. Hatton wanted to face the winner of third meeting between Jose Luis Castillo and Diego Corrales, but Castillo's inability to make weight and the possiblity of lawsuits from the fallout, has team Hatton looking for other opponents.
"We have an agreement to fight Oktay Urkal, who is the mandatory contender for Ricky's WBA welterweight belt. We spoke to Bob Arum and he's trying to resolve the issues with Castillo but we want a quick solution. We're not waiting about for court cases and suspensions. Urkal's on the table and Ricky wants to get along with his career." said Hobson.
