A big news story is sweeping Las Vegas and it has the media in Sin City talking. There are heavy rumors of possible inner turmoil in the camp of Ricky Hatton. He faces Manny Pacquiao on Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. There is talk that Hatton and new trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. are at odd, and possible trouble between Mayweather Sr. and Hatton's co-trainer Lee Beard.

The rumors are so heavy that Roach's agent, Nick Khan, told Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports that he contacted Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer to talk about a possible future deal where Freddie would train Hatton.

“Richard and I were speaking on the phone, though I’m not sure who called who, and I told him how much respect Freddie has for Ricky,” said Khan. “I suggested that after Manny defeats Ricky on Saturday, which is Freddie’s priority, that we sit down and discuss the possibility of Freddie getting together and working with Ricky.”

A source close to Roach, told Iole, that Schaefer told them Hatton was miserable with Mayweather Sr. Schaefer denied having knowledge of any trouble or telling anyone there was. Hatton was said to be upset with Mayweather for showing up late to several workouts.

Iole spoke with Mayweather, who didn't deny there was trouble in paradise but said it was nothing serious. He also didn't deny there was trouble with co-trainer Lee Beard.

“I addressed the situation and the problems I had with him,” Mayweather said. “I addressed things with him. I let him know I don’t play that, don’t do that. He knows now. I won’t disrespect him. If I don’t want someone else disrespecting me in no kind of a way, I’m not going to disrespect anybody else in no kind of a way. We have a very clear understanding between each other. I make sure I have a clear understanding with everybody I train because nobody is going to be jerking me around and I take no mess off nobody.”
