According to trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr, Ricky Hatton does not need his services to beat Manny Pacquiao on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. But, Floyd feels that his involvement gives Hatton with a much bigger chance to win.

"I said one thing before - Ricky probably could win this fight without me. I said that, I did say that. But I will say one thing, he's definitely got a much better chance with me of winning it, than without me. With him fighting with me, he has a better chance. It's obvious. I'm the best in this business doing this," Floyd Sr told The Mirror.

Floys Sr, like many top trainers in boxing, has a big ego on his shoulders. He feels Hatton learned nothing from his ex-trainer Billy Graham, and went a bit further by stating to the paper that Hatton had no boxing skills until the two of them hooked up last year.

"I taught Ricky how to box. Ricky didn't know anything when I started with him. He had brute strength, that was it. When I first went down to England to see him, you know, it was horrendous. But you look at him today, he's totally different. And that totally different is going to be explosive on May 2," Floyd said.
