LONDON - Scott Harrison pulled out of his WBO featherweight defense fight and vacated his title Wednesday.

Harrison was scheduled to fight Nicky Cook in London on Saturday but his father and trainer Peter Harrison told Britain's Press Association his son was unable to get under 133 pounds and will give up the title he's held for four years.

Scott Harrison withdrew from a title defense in May against Gairy St. Claire after Harrison was arrested on charges stemming from a series of incidents in Glasgow pubs and nightclubs. In September, police charged the fighter with six offenses, including assault and fraud.

He has also received treatment for depression and alcohol abuse at a Glasgow center.

Promoter Frank Warren is expected to announce a new main event for Saturday at a news conference on Thursday.
