At the MEN Arena in Manchester, Matthew Hall (22-1, 15KOs) captured the Commonwealth (British Empire) light middleweight title by stopping Bradley Pryce (27-7, 17KOs) in the second round.

Pryce came out with a stiff jab to control the first round. During the second, a right hand clocked Pryce on the head and sent him down to the mat. The champion made it to his feet and Hall went right back on the attack and tried to finish Pryce against the ropes. In the final minute, a combination sent Pryce down again. He made it up but with 20 seconds left, Hall threw a crushing right that sent him down for the third and final time as the bell rang. The ref called the fight while Hall was laying on his back.
