Early fights from Cozumel, Mexico. Ex featherwight champion Guty Espadas dominated Fredy Blandon of Nicaragua with a masterclass of boxing and was coasting to an easy win, when there was a hard crack of heads in the tenth and final round of their super featherweight clash.

It went to the score cards and Guty won unanimously.

Guty dominated with a sustained body attack, and then he switched to head hunting. He came close to stopping Fredy in the sixth with a big left hook and then a short right hook a few seconds before the bell. He continued the punishement in the eight, but Fredy came back with an occasion sneak left hook and soaked up the pressure. However, he was outlassed throughout in a suprisingly slow paced fight.
