Unbeaten Andrés "Jaguar" Gutiérrez is one step away from a world title shot, when he faces veteran and dangerous puncher Hugo "Cuatito" Ruiz on November 8th in a WBC world title final eliminator, with the winner becoming the mandatory challenger to champion Leo Santa Cruz.

Andrés (30-0-1, 22 KO's), who holds the WBC's silver title at 122-pounds, has been training for the last four weeks in Jalisco, under the guidance of the experienced coach Chepo Reynoso. Ruiz (34-2, 30KOs), a former WBA interim-champion at bantamweight, is the 118-pound WBC continental champion.
