Heavyweight prospect Gurgen Hovhannisyan will have his second fight of 2025 — and his fourth straight outing at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Florida — when he headlines a July 18 show.
No opponent was named in the press release announcing the event, which will stream on DAZN.
Hovhannisyan, 8-0 (7 KOs), is a 27-year-old from Armenia who trains out of California with Joe Goossen. He is not yet ranked by any of the four major sanctioning bodies.
The 6-foot-7 fighter is coming off a fifth-round knockout win in April over the 11-3 Dajuan Calloway, who himself was coming off an upset two-round stoppage of the 10-0 Thomas Carty. The combined weight for Hovhannisyan (297lbs) and Calloway (421lbs) was 718lbs.
Six other boxers have been announced for the show, all against opponents who have yet to be determined:
- Junior featherweight Angel Barrientes, 13-1 (8 KOs)
- Junior middleweight Alex Bray, 9-0 (7 KOs)
- Junior lightweight Roberto Gomez, 6-0 (3 KOs)
- Junior middleweight Jocksan Blanco, 8-0 (4 KOs)
- Lightweight Gabriela Tellez, 5-0 (2 KOs)
- Junior bantamweight Carlos Lebron, 5-1-1 (4 KOs)
