On the undercard to Joe Calzaghe-Roy Jones Jr. at New York's Madison Square Garden, heavyweight Dominick Guinn (30-6-1, 20 KOs) won an eight-round unanimous decision over Gabe Brown (18-9-4, 12 KOs). The scores were were 80-72, 80-72 and 79-73. Guinn was taking part in his second fight in less than a month, on October 24 in Canada, Guinn knocked out Jean Francois Bergeron.
Super middleweight prospect Daniel Jacobs (12-0, 11 KOs) continued pounded out a third round technical knockout over Jimmy Campbell (11-3, 2 KOs).
