Kevin Barry has confirmed to BoxingScene.com that he is now training heavyweight prospect Guido Vianello (4-0) and light heavyweight contender Umar Salamov.  He will train both fighters in his Henderson, Nevada gym.

Vianello, who is 25 years old, represented Italy in the 2016 Olympics and has won all four of his professional bout by knockout.  He is 3-0 in 2019 and will return to the ring on the Tyson Fury-Otto Wallin undercard on September 14th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The fight will be streamed live on the ESPN+ app.

Salamov, who last fought in April, has now won 5 fights in a row since being upset by Damien Hooper in 2017 on the Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn undercard in Australia. He lost a controversial decision to the local fighter by the score of 96-94 on all three scorecards.

The 25-year-old is promoted by Salita Promotions and previously trained under the guidance of Barry.  The world class trainer is best known for his work with former heavyweight champion Joseph Parker and also previously training hard hitting former heavyweight contender David Tua along with several other notable fighters.
