Former multi-division champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (32-2-1, 18KOs) told BoxingScene.com that he's prepared to put on a showcase performance on March 7th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Guerrero will trade big punches with WBA interim-welterweight champion Keith "One Time" Thurman (24-0, 21KOs) in the main event of Al Haymon's debut edition of 'Premier Boxing Champions' on NBC.

"This is the fight everyone wants to see so now it's time to give the fans a great show," said Guerrero to BoxingScene.com. "Keith Thurman is a good young fighter but this is my time to show the world I'm on another level.  There will be a lot of fireworks in this fight and I can't wait."

Co-manager Bob Santos added: "Thurman said nobody wanted to fight him. Like I've always said, Robert Guerrero is scared of no fighter and he'll fight anyone. The fans wanted the fight and we're giving the fans what they want."

Guerrero went face to face with Thurman at the kickoff press conference in New York City for the Haymon Boxing series on NBC, and the Gilroy fighter also had the opportunity to meet some of his boyhood idols.

"It was incredible being on stage with the great legends Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran and Tommy Hearns. Haymon Boxing is bringing big fight to NBC and that's great for boxing.  Everyone can just turn on the TV and watch the fight. This is exactly what we need," Guerrero said.
