According to a report in the Hollister Free Lance, WBA/WBO interim-lightweight champion Robert Guerrero is going to have further testing on his injured left shoulder on Monday. The injury, suffered on Wednesday during a sparring session, forced Guerrero to withdraw from an August 27th bout HBO televised bout with Marcos Madaina.
Guerrero's publicist, Mario Serrano, said an MRI confirmed there was damage to the boxer's rotator cuff, but they won't know the full extent of the injury until next week.
He does have damage to his rotator cuff. "We don't know exactly the prognosis until we see doctor (Michael) Dillingham," Serrano said. "We will know more about what the next step is to fix it on Monday. We are down, but we are all keeping our faith. It's times like this when you really have to stand on your faith and let God guide the ship."
