Promoter Bettina Palle has announced that Roberto Guerrero and Spend Abazi will fight for the vacant IBF featherweight in Denmark, sometime in early 2007. The title became vacant when Orlando Salido, who beat Guerreroo for the title, tested positive for illegal substances.
 
WIBF and GBU super middleweight champ Natascha Ragosina is looking to add the WBA belt to her collection on February 17 in Magdeburg when she takes on Yahaira Hernandez at the Maritim Hotel. Malik Dziarra, who previously have campaigned at super middleweight will try to revive his career at 160 in a supporting bout. Cruiserweight Serdar Sahin, jr middleweight Daniel Kafer and light heavyweight Sascha Poppendieck, European champ in thaiboxing, are also on the bill.
 
Former WBC super middleweight title holder Cristian Sanavia stayed busy with a six round points win over Czech Roman Vanicky on December 17 in Battaglia Terme. Sanavia is mandatory challenger for EBU ruler Devi Gogiya.
 
Henry Maske worked out on Tuesday at the Manfred Wolke gym in Frankfurt/Oder for the first time in 10 years. There were about 20 reporters and four camera teams covering.
 
EBU middleweoght champ Amin Asikainen and stablemate, jr welterweight Juho Tolppola, are currently in training at high altitude at Tenerife, Spain. Asikainen is set to defend the title against Sebastian Sylvester on January 20 on the Valuev vs. McCline show in Basel.
 
Tundra vs Barcelo´s and Diplomat Promotion´s show in Baku, Azerbadjan, that was set to go ahead this past weekend will now take place on January 19.
 
Danish lightweight Martin Kristjansen, who drew with Stefano Zoff for the vacant EU title, will apparently go for a second chance at the same title but with Spaniard Francisco Nohales as opponent. As for Zoff, he is now the mandatory challenger for the EBU title held by Belorussian Yuri Romanov, who might make a voluntary defense in February in Monte Carlo, possibly against Nohales.
 
IBO middleweight champ Raymond Joval is back in full training and might return late February. Ray is training in the United States and will resume his career there as well.
