Today (Aug 14) Agon Sports announced that former IBF middleweight champ Vincenzo Gualtieri (24-1-1) was injured and that his defence of the WBO European title against Ramadan Hiseni (21-2-2) September 12 in Berlin is off.
Agon have also announced that their Cuban stars, Arlen Lopez and Lazaro Alvarez, will step in to defend their respective WBA subtitles.
Lopez (5-0 as a pro, Olympic Gold Medal winner 2016 and 2021, bronze medal winner 2024) will defend the WBA Continental Latin America light heavyweight title while Alvarez (8-0 as a pro, three-time world champ in the amateurs) will defend the WBA Continental Americas lightweight title. Opponents for the two are still to be announced.
Headlining the show is super-feather Hamsat Shadalov (11-0), who defends the WBA Fedelatin title against Spain's Alex De La Rosa (10-0).
