According to Sportbox.ru, WBC cruiserweight champion and TBRB #4 200-pounder Grigory “Pretty Boy” Drozd (40-1, 28 KOs), who recently defeated challenger Lukasz Janik of Poland in a voluntary defense of the belt, looks to be back in action by the end of 2015.

“I think my next fight takes place at the end of the year. For now I’ll take three or four weeks of rest. We shall be moving step-by-step. I’m looking forward to defend my title, and I’ll do just that. Surely, a unification will be of a higher priority for me," said Drozd.

Drozd, 35-years-old, stopped Janik (28-3, 15 KOs) in the ninth round of a one-sided fight on May 22 in Moscow, Russia. His mandatory challenger, meanwhile, is the WBC #3 Congolese banger Ilunga Makabu (19-1, 18 KOs), who just stopped Thabiso Mchunu of the RSA with a highlight knockout in their cruiserweight final eliminator.
