Reno, NV – As a true 'WAR FOR THE WEST' Sacramento California's Otis Griffin (18-2-2 7 KOs) will fight Yerington Nevada's Jesse Brinkley (29-5 20 KOs) in Reno.
The fight card will take place on Friday February 22nd at the Silver Legacy Hotel/Casino in the Grand Exposition hall.
Griffin was the winner of Oscar De La Hoya's The Next Great Champ boxing reality TV show which aired on Fox in 2005. Since then, Griffin has climbed his way up the ranks in the light-heavyweight division. Currently, many would consider him the top fighter in the Sacramento area. On February 22 nd, Griffin will make his way over the Sierra Nevada Mountains to face off against Northern Nevada's most popular fighter – Jesse Brinkley.
Brinkley, who became a semifinalist on the first season of The Contender is currently on a three-win winning streak – all by way of knockout. Otis Griffin will be coming down to super middleweight for the first time in his career for February 22 nd. With Griffin now campaigning at 168 lbs this match-up will be a true regional turf war with the winner entering the top of the world rankings.
