Moments after Danny Green entered the ring in his hometown of Perth to stop Otis Griffin in three rounds, he called out Antonio Tarver to travel across the ocean to defend the IBO light heavyweight title.
"Antonio Tarver, here in Perth, Subiaco Oval, 25,000 people - you want to do it Perth?," Green said to the crowd.
Griffin, who is best known for being a participant in Oscar De La Hoya's reality series 'The Next Great Champ,' was never able to counter the hard left hands and consistent pressure of Green. For two rounds he tried to keep his distance, until a Green left sent him down in the third and he was never able to recover.
Green, the current IBF Pan Pacific light heavyweight champ, was awarded the IBO Asia Pacific light heavyweight title with the win.
