Australian puncher Danny Green (24-3, 22 KO) has been able to land the opponent he wanted so bad, IBO light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver (25-4, 18KOs). The two will collide in the main event of a Showtime televised card on December 1.

Green, who won several minor titles at super middleweight, is looking to pick up the first major title of his career as he fights for the third time this year. Green has stopped his last three opponents. Tarver has not scored a knockout win since he stopped Roy Jones Jr. in second round of their 2004 bout.

"On the world stage Tarver is one of the biggest names out there and he will be the biggest name on my record and that will make him the biggest feather in my cap as well," Green told the Sydney Herald.

"He is a Southpaw who has got a very solid punch and he's got all the classy, slick tools that have got him to where he is today, but I just believe that I can beat him."
