In front of a passionate and supportive hometown crowd at the Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino in Tulsa Oklahoma, Allan “Sweetness” Green upped his record to 22-0 with a unanimous decision over 16-year veteran Emmett “Laser” Linton 33-5-2

Green began the fight absorbing some punches from Linton, but settled into his fight-plan midway through round one.  Linton was the aggressor in the first round attempting to reduce Green’s size by jabbing and working inside on Green. Linton fought for the next few rounds like a fighter trying to get one last win, while Green applied constant pressure.

The seventh round saw Linton being rocked by Green and went down to the canvas.  Green could not finish the job as his gas tank was on empty. Linton had a small rally at the end of the round but there was not enough time left to mount an offensive.

The scores after ten rounds were 97-92, 98-91, 98-91.

Better late than never! In other action, Emanuel Augustus and Courtney Burton squared off for the second time.  This was a rematch of a very controversial contest that took place on July 6, 2004 in which all but the judges believed that Augustus won the fight.

Tonight they faced off again, but this time there was no debate as Augustus stopped Burton at 2:04 of the 8th round.  A bodyshot began the damage and he followed with an assault of punches to send Burton down.

Augustus adds another notch to his belt and improves to 33-27-6 & Burton drops to 21-6.
