The British Boxing Board of Control sent a letter today requesting their reaffiliation with the World Boxing Council, based on the unanimous vote of the BBB of C which is currently headed by Mr. Charles Giles, with Mr. Simon Block as its Secretary General.
I have had enormous satisfaction in hearing this great news, as the BBB of C, under the Presidency of Mr. Onslow Fane, was one of the founding federations of the WBC in Mexico in 1963.
The BBB of C’s reaffiliation will be submitted to the vote of the WBC Board of Governors on October 29 during the opening of the WBC 44th Annual Convention in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and the BBB of C will be reaffiliated by acclamation. I am currently visiting several European countries and dealing with several WBC matters.
The upcoming convention in Dubrovnik will be a historic and memorable gathering with the return of the WBC’s beloved son, the BBB of C.
