Adrien Broner and Adrian Granados have remained respectful toward one another throughout the promotion of their fight.

After Broner (32-2, 24 KOs) and Granados (18-4-2, 12 KOs) weighed in, Broner predicted he will “beat his ass” in their 10-round welterweight fight Saturday night in Cincinnati.

“I feel good,” Broner said. “I know it’s a lot of people that come see me win, but I know it’s a lot of people come see me lose. But at the end of the day, we focused, man. We focused, and I know family is family, and that’s all that matters at the end of the day.”

When asked for a prediction, Broner said, “See, um, as a promoter I can’t be as disrespectful as I usually be. But right now I’m a mother*ckin’ boxer. I’m gonna beat his ass.”

Granados, of Cicero, Illinois, wasn’t fazed by Broner’s brash prediction. Despite that he is roughly a 3-1 underdog, Granados is confident he can upset Broner in his hometown because Granados fared well against Broner when he served as his primary sparring partner for a December 2013 loss to Marcos Maidana.

“It’s just another fight for me,” Granados said. “I know he’s a four-division world champ, but to me he’s just another man and I’m here to win and take that victory. As far as beating my ass, I don’t get my ass beat. I hand ‘em out.”

Showtime will broadcast Broner-Granados as the main event of a “Showtime Championship Boxing” tripleheader from Xavier University’s Cintas Center.

A 10-round bout between light heavyweights Marcus Browne (18-0, 13 KOs), of Staten Island, New York, and Thomas Williams Jr. (20-2, 14 KOs), of Fort Washington, Maryland, is set to open the telecast at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. In the bout before Broner-Granados, Russia’s David Avanesyan (22-1-1, 11 KOs) is scheduled to defend his WBA world welterweight title against Washington, D.C.’s Lamont Peterson (34-3-1, 17 KOs).

This tripleheader will be available to all cable and satellite subscribers as part of Showtime’s free preview weekend. Those three fights also will streamed live on Twitter, a first for a premium-cable channel.
