Nathan Gorman has been dealt a blow ahead of his next fight.
The heavyweight had been set to fight at the Morningside Arena in Leicester on Saturday night.
But Gorman, the WBC International Silver champion, won’t fight on the bill, exclusively live on BT Sport, after his opponent withdrew at the 11th hour.
The 22-year-old (13-0, 11 KOs) took to social media on Friday morning to confirm the news that he will no longer be on the Frank Warren-promoted ‘The Time Is Now’ card.
He went on to say that he would return to the ring on December 22, exclusively live on BT Sport Box Office, as part of the supporting cast to Josh Warrington’s defence of the IBF featherweight world title against Carl Frampton at Manchester Arena.
The Warren show in Leicester is topped Jack Catterall’s WBO Inter-Continental super-lightweight title defence against Ohara Davies in an official eliminator for the world title.
Double Olympic champion Nicola Adams will face Isabel Millan for the vacant WBO interim super-flyweight female title on the bill, while English heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois faces a step-up against America’s Kevin Johnson on the same card as Joe Maphosa’s return, Lyon Woodstock’s clash against Archie Sharp in a defence of his WBO European super-featherweight crown and Sam Bowen’s vacant WBO Inter-Continental super-featherweight title clash against Argentina’s Horacio Alfredo Cabral.
James Branch, Mark Heffron, Ryan Garner, CJ Challenger, Raza Hamza and Ryan Hatton are also set for action on the bill.
