The fight between former four division world champion Jorge 'Travieso' Arce and the featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Jhonny Gonzalez, appears to be back in play, but now on a date of October 4th at the CUM in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. Arce has already the contract for the fight, and the information was confirmed by Gonzalez's promoter, Osvaldo Küchle.

Last week, Arce (64-7-2, 49 KOs) and Jhonny (56-8, 47 KO) seemed to be a dead issue due to a television conflict.

Gonzalez fights on Televisa and Arce is showcased by rival network TV Azteca. There was an initial deal where both networks would obtain broadcast rights to the bout. But then TV Azteca refused to share the broadcast rights and wanted exclusivity. At the moment Televisa is the sole network being mentioned to carry the anticipated event.

If the deal is not finalized, there is already a backup plan for Gonzalez to defend his title against former two-division champion Cristian Mijares.
