Filipino Jelbirt Gomera of Highland Boxing weighed-in at 56.85 Kgs (125.33 lbs) while the much taller Korean Featherweight Champ Nam-Joon Lee made 57.15 kgs (126 lbs) today ahead of their 12-rounder title clash for the vacant WBA Asia 126-Lbs Title, which takes place tomorrow Saturday (June 24) in Suncheon City, South Jeolla, South Korea; both fighters looking in perfect shape.

The 25-year-old Gomera (12-2, 6 KO's), comes to this appointment from a loss by points to tough Japanese former world title challenger Hidenori Otake of Tokyo's last March.   The 12-round clash against Otake was an OPBF fight in the super bantamweight division.

For tomorrow's battle, which is in the featherweight division, the Filipino Gomera trained with head coach JJ Jorda at the high altitude boxing facility of Highland Boxing Gym in Benguet Province in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the Korean titlist Nam-Joon Lee (9-5-3, 4 KO's), with more height and reach than the strong Filipino, has been a two-time South Korean 126-pound champ.

The Korean Lee looked confident and in really top form.   His last combat was a technical decision victory over South Korean Compatriot Sa Miung Noh who suffered a severe cut on his left eye, for which fight got stopped in round 7.

This WBA Asia fight is important for both warriors as the winner will get into the WBA featherweight world rankings.

The card Saturday in Suncheon is a production of Korea Promotions to be broadcast live on open TV throughout South Korea on the MBC Sport Channel.

The live telecast is scheduled to begin at exactly 15:00 KST Korea Standard Time (GMT +9).
