Oleg Hermann, manager of WBA/IBO/WBC-interim middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (31-0, 28KOs), is not worried about their ability to secure a shot at the full WBC title.

Golovkin became the mandatory challenger last month after knocking out Marco Antonio Rubio in the second round of a final eliminator.

The current WBC champion is Miguel Cotto, who is likely going to fight Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in his next fight.

Some fans are worried about Golovkin's ability to get a shot at the WBC crown, referencing how Sergio Martinez wasted nearly two years trying to secure his own mandatory shot at the WBC title, before Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. voluntarily agreed to fight him.

"I think these are two totally different situations. At that time, Sergio Martinez did not have the type of status which Gennady has earned in the last two years in America and on HBO. We now have the resolution from the WBC in our hands, which guarantees us a fight against the winner of Cotto-Canelo. Our team, with [promoter] Tom Loeffler [of K2 Promotions] will make every effort to ensure the conditions will be met. Whatever it will be, we will try to make the decision in our favor. Gennady Golovkin fighting against Cotto or Canelo, without exaggeration, can happen in 2015. We are working on it," Hermann said.
