At the NSU Arena inside the Don Taft University Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Glen Johnson (50-13-2, 34 KOs) stopped Yusaf Mack (28-3-2, 17 KO) in six rounds in an IBF light heavyweight title eliminator. Johnson will now face champion Tavoris Cloud.

The pace was fast in the first round. Both guys stayed inside for the most part and worked hard. Mack made the mistake of staying too much on the inside to go to war with Johnson. He tried to go to war with Johnson in the third round, which appeared to zap a lot of his energy. Rather than stay away and box, he fought Johnson's fight by keeping the fight on the inside.

During the first minute of the sixth round, Johnson caught Mack with a right hand to send him down. It didn't take too long for Johnson to send Mack down for the second time in the round. With a lot of time still to go, Johnson went right back on the attack and closed the show by sending Mack down for the third time, and forcing the ref to stop the fight in the process.
