BoxingScene.com has been advised that super middleweight contender Gilberto Ramirez (28-0) will likely return on the undercard to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Gennady Golovkin - if that fight gets finalized for July 19th at The Forum in Inglewood, CA.
Ramirez last fought on April 12th when he stopped Giovanni Lorenzo in 5 rounds. Hector Zapari who manages Ramirez along with his father Jesus, said that an opponent has yet to be determined.
Chavez-Golovkin has yet to be finalized but Top Rank CEO, Bob Arum, recently told the LA Times that they are working to get a deal in place by the end of the week.
