According to the Cebu Daily News, WBO bantamweight champion Gerry Peñalosa will make the second defense of his title in Cebu City against Mexican fighter Isidro “El Chino” Garcia. Promoter Sammy Gello-ani told the paper that the event will be held either on July 19 or 26. The show will likely take place at the New Cebu Coliseum, or the Cebu City Sports Center.
In the co-feature, former champion Oscar Larios of Mexico is the comeback trail, and takes on Indonesia's Alexander Bajawa. Larios is trying to rebuild himself after suffering a beating at the hands of Jorge Linares in 2007.
Undefeated Filipino prospect Ciso Morales will also appeared on the undercard to defend his WBO Oriental super bantamweight title against Hussein Pazzi of Tanzania.
The card will be aired on national television by one of the country's biggest television outfit, according to Gello-ani.
