British/Commonwealth super middleweight champion George Groves (13-0, 10KOs) would love to face WBC champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20KOs) in 2012. Groves is looking ahead to the big fighters after winning a twelve round majority decision over his bitter rival, James DeGale, at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night. In a recent Froch revealed that he was willing to face the winner of Groves-DeGale in the future.

The young Groves could see the fight happening in 18 months time, which gives Froch enough distance to finish his obligations with the ongoing Super Six Boxing Classic. Froch faces Glen Johnson in the Super Six semi-finals this coming Saturday night at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

"It's my ambition to become a world champion. Carl Froch came out recently and he said after he's finished with the Super Six, he'll happily fight the winner of us two," Groves told Sky Sports News. "So that could be a big fight for the British public in 18 months' time."
